The European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (EPF) and the Brussels partners of the Action for Global Health Network (AfGH), together with MEP Eva Joly, Chair of the European Parliament's Development Committee, and the Gree/EFA Group in the European Parliament hosted the EPF Parliamentary Conference and the AfGH Cross-Europe High Level Conference: "Delivering the Right to Health with the Health Millennium Development Goals" which took place on the 1st and the 2nd of March 2010, in the European Parliament in Brussels. Both conferences explored what concrete actions European decision-makers can undertake to ensure that the health MDGs are achieved and all citizens in developing countries have access to quality health care.

From 23-24 March 2009, more than 60 Members of Parliament across Europe and Asia, representatives from International Organisations such as UNFPA, and researchers on SRHR gathered in Oslo/Norway to discuss: To what extent are climate change and population dynamics interrelated and what can European policy makers do about this? 
 

On Monday, 20 October 2008, the Belgian All Party Parliamentary Group on the MDGs in collaboration with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GFATM) and the European Parliamentary Forum on Population and Development (EPF) organised an International High Level Conference on: “The Future of Parliamentary Involvement in Global Health and Development”. The Conference, held in the Palais d’Egmont in Brussels, Belgium was opened by Mr. Charles Michel, the Belgian Minister for Development Cooperation.

From 28-30 April 2008 more than 70 Members of Parliament across Europe, representatives from International Organisations such as UNFPA and the Council of Europe, researchers, scientists, SRHR experts and NGO representatives gathered in Uppsala/Sweden to discuss the future agenda of sexual and reproductive health and rights, gender issues, women’s rights and how to deal with a growing opposition movement towards SRHR.
