In mid-December Anne Van Lancker, former EPF President and Belgian MEP for many years, announced that she would be leaving politics to work as a Gender Expert at UNFPA’s Eastern Europe and Central Asia Division in Istanbul. Van Lancker took her first steps into politics in 1994, when she was elected to the European Parliament. She was EPF President between 2006 and 2009.

In her new role, EPF is pleased to see that her years of expertise in the field of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights will still be benefitting the international community. EPF congratulates her on her new role and wishes her all the very best for the exciting new challenges that are awaiting her.
