PARIS, 19 July – Following President Marcon’s comments about fertility rates in Africa and the continent having a “civilisational” problem , Le Monde took a closer look at France’s commitment to women’s rights in development policy. Interviewd for the piece, EPF’s Neil Datta said: "France has repeatedly declared itself a champion of women's rights, but whatever the political color of the government, aid to the developing countries is very modest.”

ZAGREB, 24 April - EPF Secretary Neil Datta delivered a lecture in the Croatian capital entitled: "European fundamentalism against human rights: Who, why, how and with whose money they attack European values?" The event was organised by the Croatian Journalists' Association, the Center for Peace Studies and GONG -- a non-governmental organization that oversees elections in Croatia.

BRUSSELS, 6 February – Belgian MEP Hon. Hilde Vautmans published an opinion article on the International Day of Zero Tolerance for Female Genital Mutilation. In the article, published in MO magazine, she urges the European Commission and member states to redouble their efforts to play an important role in ending FGM worldwide.
