VILNIUS - Following its Universal Periodic Review (UPR), Lithuania has accepted 153 recommendations on human rights implementation, including a recommendation from Finland to improve SRHR according to previous recommendations and to formulate a national strategy on SRHR, and integrate sexual and reproductive health into the next National Health Programme for 2026-2036.
Family Planning and Sexual Health Association and nongovernmental women's organizations network “ReGina” welcomed the commitment of the Lithuanian Government to fulfill this recommendation and to ensure the improvement in SRHR.
The UPR is an international human rights mechanism of the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) which periodically examines the human rights performance of all 193 UN Member States. It addresses all countries and all human rights.
