On 23 June, the Portuguese APPG presented a proposal for a parliamentary resolution focusing on SRHR and the Portuguese contribution to UNFPA. The proposal will now be presented to the Parliamentary Committee for Foreign Affairs before going to the plenary for a vote.
Also on 23 June, the Parliament approved a specific law about gender balance and quotes. The boards and leadership of private sector companies will now have to be made up of 33% women. Legislation related to the public sector is expected to follow.
On 21 June changes were made to the law of medically assisted reproduction.
