MONTEVIDEO, 1 to 3 August – EPF Senior Policy Officer Marina Davidashvili travelled to Uruguay to attend an international seminar on strategies to counter the effects of conscientious objection to abortion. The event was organised by the International Women's Health Coalition (IWHC) and Mujer y Salud en Uruguay (MYSU). In a dedicated panel, Marina shared EPF’s experience on working with policy makers in countering the effects of the conscientious objection in access to lawful medical services in Europe.
The event gathered together fifty experts from 20 countries in Africa, the Americas and Europe. These included academics, health professionals, legal experts, and feminist activists.
