BRUSSELS - The European Parliament's Committee on Development (DEVE) adopted an oral amendment explicitly asking for a €20 million increase in funds dedicated to SRHR.
The Development budget for 2018 will be voted by the Committee on Budgets (BUDG) on 26-27 September 2017 and in plenary on 24 October.
MEPs Hon. Charles Goerens and Hon. Heidi Hautala tabled the amendment proposing a €78 million increase in the human development budget line, with €20 million of that going to SRHR.
Together with Hon. Ignazio Corrao, MEP, Hons. Goerens and Hautala are the co-hosts of European Parliament launch of Euromapping on Thursday 7 September.
