BRUSSELS, 9 – 13 October – The 2017 edition of the European Week of Action for Girls (EWAG) was held under the headline theme of girls’ empowerment; demonstrating what girls can achieve when their rights are respected and protected. The centrepiece of the week was the inaugural “Girls Summit” which will took place on 11 October to mark the International Day of the Girl Child.
EWAG is an annual week-long event which aims to ensure that girls’ empowerment is promoted and their rights are protected and fulfilled in the EU’s external action, through adequate policies, funding and programs.
