BRUSSELS - The UNFPA State of World Population 2017 report was launched in the European Parliament. MEPs Hon. Norbert Neuser (Germany, S&D Group), Hon. Heidi Hautala (Finland, Greens/EFA group); Jean Lambert (UK, Greens - EFA Group) and Hon. Sophie in 't Veld (Netherlands, ALDE) were all in attendance.
Director of UNFPA’s Brussels Office, Sietske Steneker, presented the report which this year focused on reproductive health and rights in an age of inequality. Caroline Hickson, Regional Director of the IPPF European Network, was also one of the panellists at the launch event.
