BRUSSELS - EPF Vice President Senator Petra de Sutter opened the Parliamentarians’ Meeting on Reproductive Health Supplies in Brussels, organized by EPF and UNFPA. Six parliamentarians from donor countries – from Belgium, Finland, Portugal, Spain (Basque Country) and the UK – attended the meeting. Representatives from the European Parliament were also in attendance.
The full-day meeting aimed to: Make the case for investing ODA in FP as a transformational development intervention; Showcase the added value and accomplishments of UNFPA Supplies; Give practical examples of how donor country MPs can join the movement to meet the unmet need for family planning.
Basque MP Oihana Etxebarrieta followed up the meeting by writing an article on the topic of RH supplies.
