BRUSSELS - The European Parliament’s budget committee has adopted a budgetary amendment calling for an increase of €60 million in the budget line dedicated to human development under the Development Cooperation Instrument (DCI). EP plenary votes on the 2019 EU budget will take place on 24 October and will be followed by negotiations with Council in October and November. The budget line includes funds for sexual and reproductive health and rights, youth empowerment and gender equality.
