14 February - In the spirit of Valentine's Day, we gifted European governments an informative toolkit offering the framework and content needed to easily create their own national website informing their citizens about contraception.

Following the results of the 2019 Contraception Atlas, one of our key targets is to encourage governments to invest in websites to inform citizens about their contraception options. Only 11 countries out of the 46 analysed had a “very good” or excellent” rated website for this purpose, so it is in the interests of most European states to improve this valuable information tool.

Therefore, we are pleased to share with you a website toolkit which we have prepared for governments to use as a guideline for the creation or development of such websites. This provides the framework and content to easily create a user-friendly website offering country-specific information in the national language or languages to make sure all citizens are well-informed.

This small expense would make a huge difference to European citizens who are seeking reliable guidance on the types of contraceptives and how to access them in their countries.
