ROME, 14 February - The Contraception Atlas was presented during a conference on access to contraception in Italy, which was co-organized by Associazione Italiana Donne per lo Sviluppo Onlus (AIDOS). Italy scores just 52.2% in the Atlas; which ranks 45 countries throughout geographical Europe on access to modern contraception
The findings were presented by EPF’s Marina Davidashvilli on panel which also featured Maria Grazia Panunzi, President of AIDOS.
Participants at the conference included: institutional representatives, scientific societies of gynecology and obstetrics and manufacturers of contraceptives.
There are several measures Italy can take to improve access contraception, including creating a government supported website providing comprehensive info on contraception
