Puławy revokes LGBT freezone status just one week after visit of EPF delegation

The day after the EPF conference in Warsaw, an EPF delegation of MPs and observers visited Puławy, a so called "LGBT freezone", about 150 km south of Warsaw.

The group heard the moving testimony of LGBT activists who were living and working in the town and had the chance to ask questions and offer support while gaining insight into the local situation as well as the state of affairs for the Polish LGBT community at the national level.

In a development that is probably entirely coincidental, the local authority in Puławy revoked the LGBT freezone status in a close vote last week.
