On 14 October, EPF's Marina Davidashvili presented EPF's Cervical Cancer Prevention Policies Atlas to an online event entitled: Western Balkans: The HPV Atlas and the Cancer Plan. Attendees included governmental and Parliamentary representatives as well as other key experts and stakeholders from North Macedonia and Kosovo. Participants examined ways for improving patient satisfaction with regard to healthcare policies and the role of international mechanisms notably the WHO's Global strategy to accelerate the elimination of cervical cancer and the EU Beating Cancer Plan in improving national policies.
In Prague on 22 October, Ms Davidashvili went on to present the EPF Cervical Cancer Prevention Policies Atlas at the Patient Advocacy Seminar conducted by the European Network of Gynaecological Cancer Advocacy Groups (ENGAGe). The presentation gave cancer patients the opportunity to engage on the gap between policies and their implementation as well as the challenges faced by cancer patients in Europe. The event took place within the framework of the Congress of the European Society of Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) taking place from 23-25 October in the Czech capital. EPF also participated in the poster exhibition with its Atlas to raise public awareness on the issue.
