Women and girls risk their lives and their health when abortions are performed in illegal and unsafe ways.
Today, 47 nordic parliamentarians of cross-party groups for sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland sent an open letter to WHO’s Director General Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus.
The parliamentarians wish to thank Dr Tedros and the WHO for the development of the new safe abortion care guidelines that were released earlier this spring and express their continued support in WHO’s efforts to make abortion safter and more available.
