The Global Contraception Atlas

The new website www.srhrpolicyhub.org allows users to interact, compare, and download all the data gathered in the Atlas with an innovative and engaging interface.

  • The Atlas reveals that today globally only 16 countries score high, dark green, whereas most countries globally are medium (47 countries, yellow) or very poor (40, red). The global research also shows large regional discrepancies in terms of contraception policies.
  • The Atlas investigates how public authorities perform in access to contraceptive supplies, family planning counseling, and online information on contraception in six regions: Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East and North Africa, Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, and Oceania, Canada, Australia, for a total of 189 countries, 118 indicators, and 3.643 data points.

The first edition of the Global Contraception Policy Atlas was launched at the Women Deliver Conference on the 18th of July in Kigali, Rwanda.
